DTS is taking advantage of its presence at Prolight+Sound to introduce the HI-CRI versions of their Synergy 6 and 7 Profile moving heads. These fixtures, already boasting high-end technical specifications in their initial versions, are equipped with 570W and 1050W LED sources respectively.
With this new LED engine, DTS achieves excellent colorimetric values for both TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) and CRI (Color Rendering Index), with a special emphasis on the R9 value.
As a quick reminder, the Color Rendering Index (CRI) refers to the ability of a source to reproduce the color nuances of a surface, and the TLCI (for Television Lighting Consistency Index) indicates the colorimetric fidelity of a source compared to that of a video camera. The maximum value is 100.
Our two moving head droids promise a CRI above 95 with a special mention on the R9 fidelity score (fidelity of intense reds), this value reaching 90, which is excellent for a native source at 6,000 K. As for the TLCI, this also exceeds the value of 95!
These two moving lights are equipped with LEDs of the same power as the classic versions, of course, the illumination and light output are slightly reduced on our HI-CRI fixtures, but we still obtain 14,000 lumens/ 52,000 lux at 5 m (beam at 5 °) for the Synergy 6, and 31,500 lumens/ 55,000 lux for the Synergy 7 Profile at its narrowest beam which is 7 °. We will not dwell on the other technical characteristics of the fixtures, they are exactly identical from one version to another, the same DMX charts and, the same measurements!
