The Arolla Aqua range is stepping up its game! This new IP66 spot/profile fixture from the Italian manufacturer adds an extra 500 W of LED power in this HP version. Equipped with a 1,400 W LED engine, it is claimed to deliver an impressive 60,000 lumens. Its technical performance makes it a major asset for any long-throw application or situations requiring very high light output.
It is presented in this video by Vincent Nallet, Claypaky Product Manager at Dimatec in France
Its optics allow operation across two zoom ranges: from 3.5 to 55° in standard mode, or from 0.5 to 11° in LT (Long-Throw) mode. It features the full set of functions expected from a fixture in this class: CMY color mixing complemented by variable CTO and two color wheels, two gobo wheels (both fully rotating), a motorized framing shutter module, two rotating prisms, iris, frost, animation wheel, and more.

With the “HP” version prioritizing output, it offers a CRI of 70, which can be boosted to 88 via a dedicated filter at the cost of a slight loss of luminous flux. Good news for users: this luminaire features a single operating mode with 43 parameters accessible via DMX/RDM, Art-Net, sACN, and CRMX.
Designed to withstand the elements with its IP66 rating (like all fixtures in the Aqua range), it can operate reliably in any weather and at any latitude. When SunSafe mode is activated, the fixture automatically repositions itself if direct sunlight enters the optical path, which could otherwise damage internal components.
A key concern with IP-rated fixtures is cooling, which must be both efficient and quiet. Here, the manufacturer offers four cooling modes, with noise levels ranging from 37 to 47 dB.
Finally, the FS version of the Arolla Aqua HP features dual USB (power) and RJ45 connectors, allowing a camera to be added for follow-spot operation.
