The creative agency ACTLD of light and visual design based in Brussels, imagined a light & sound show in an unusual place – a construction site on the banks of the canal in Brussels.
During four evenings of “Bright Brussels Festival” and far from the sites and monuments well known to the general public, ACTLD’s designers were able to offer a new creation and a memorable experience to nearly 30,000 visitors.
“Naked Truth” is a full-scale light & sound show that dresses up places with a poetic and contemporary atmosphere. The light effects, the special effects and the music are in perfect harmony with the industrial spirit of the site. Placed on a water-flooded ground and accompanied by lighting, a matrix of 64 automatic projectors (64 G-SPOT’s) reaches the sky, is reflected in the water and artificial fog, changing the perception of space and offering a new experience to the spectators.
This surprising creative proposal aims not only to beautify the space and to captivate the spectator’s attention, but most of all to arouse in him a real emotion.
Giving its full attention to the spectator’s authentic experience, the team combines its know-how in lighting, architecture and entertainment by regularly integrating new technologies into its services.
This avant-garde dynamic installation leaves open the interpretation of its history through which the spectator rediscovers the artistic possibilities of an urban space often neglected.
In the future, ACTLD plans to explore this creative approach of developing and producing tailor-made installations, shows or temporary multimedia projects to rehabilitate urban spaces and transform them into timeless destinations.
In the fields of architecture and events, ACTLD works on local projects (“Grand Place”, “Brussels-Central Railway Station”, “Bilzen Mysteries”, “Friendly takeover” exhibition at Mima) as well as on large scale creative endeavors abroad (“Tree of Life” at the Expo 2015 in Milan, “City Walk” in Dubai, “Lumière Intemporelle” show in Strasbourg, “Timeless Elegance” illuminations in London” or “Cinéscénie” at the Puy du Fou theme park and several commercial centers).
