Among the new products unveiled at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt, the Italian company Prolights introduced two diametrically opposed fixtures: a new motorized tilt zoom LED bar and a latest-generation LED profile. Fabio Sorabella, the brand’s general manager, presented them to us.

Astra Blade 100IP

It’s a popular format right now. Many manufacturers are adding at least one, or even an entire range, of motorized tilt LED bar fixtures to their catalogs. The Italian brand is no exception with the Astra Blade 100IP, which features 16 square collimator pixels. Behind each of these is a 40W RGB + Warm White LED.

The elegant Astra Blade 100IP from Prolights is an IP-rated, motorized tilt zoom LED bar. Its LED arrangement features the main color pixels in the center, neatly framed by two vibrant rows of variable white SMD LEDs.

This row of LEDs features a variable zoom between 4 and 40°. Two rows of SMD LEDs run along the top and bottom edges of the fixture. They emit only white with a variable color temperature from warm to cool to add effects. These two rows of LEDs can be controlled in 32 independent zones.

The brand highlights the product’s extended colorimetric possibilities, leveraging their OS named Spektra. This algorithm precisely controls and maximizes the fixture’s spectrum. This product inherits the magnesium-based material already used in other Prolights ranges for its moisture-resistant, IP65-rated casing (which has a simple but effective design).

EclProfile CT+HP

Spektra OS software is also at the heart of the high-tech EclProfile CT+HP LED profile. With its 450W LED engine, the fixture produces a whopping 14,000 lumens, which, according to the manufacturer, can compete with conventional profiles from 750W HPL up to 2 kW!

The EclProfile CT+HP profile with its 450 W led source. It has a beautiful LCD screen along with four ergonomic buttons for easy access.

Its wide range of colors, generated by a 6-color LED source (RGB + Amber + Mint + Royal Blue) gives the fixture a wide range of white temperatures, starting at 1800K up to bluish peaks at 20000K.

Another unmistakable marker is the IRC index, which is close to the top with a value of 97. The fixture is equipped with a wide range of fixed focal length optical modules, ranging from 5 to 90°, as well as two manually variable zooms, ranging respectively to 15/30° and 25/50°.

Speaking of optics, the light engine (which is the core light module of the fixture) can accommodate most standard profile optics, including the PRL/PRLZ series. This ensures maximum compatibility with older ranges, a form of light-focused sustainable development.

In terms of size, this profile spot has a reduced footprint, with a maximum length of about sixty centimeters and a weight of 8.5 kg. It’s also worth noting that an IP65 version (EclProfile CT+HP IP) is available, which is resistant to splashes of water.

Both of these products are already available.
