We tested a particularly appealing fixture: the Neo FX from German manufacturer ROXX, a company that has earned a strong reputation over the past few years for producing exceptionally rugged luminaires. The Neo FX is a motorised LED panel with tilt movement, capable of creating stunning visual effects while proving remarkably versatile.
This review is somewhat unique. I was immediately impressed by the fixture when I first saw it during a preview presentation, and I could already picture it in one of my lighting designs for an upcoming tour. I therefore made sure to integrate several units into my touring package.
So beyond the laboratory testing carried out at LA BS Studio, this article also reflects several months of real-world experience using the Neo FX on tour.

What is the Neo FX?
The concept behind the Neo FX is both simple and highly effective. It consists of a rectangular panel measuring approximately 50 x 25 cm, featuring three rows of eight RGBLime LED sources, each rated at 40 watts, for a total of 24 × 40 W. The fixture is equipped with a motorised zoom and 188° tilt movement. Don’t let its appearance fool you. At first glance, it may resemble certain tilt-enabled blinders or strobe fixtures, but any comparison quickly disappears once the Neo FX comes to life.
