MDG is delighted to announce the appointment of menzi ebz ag as its new, exclusive distributor for Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The appointment takes place with immediate effect. menzi ebz is a company with a long pedigree, its origins stretching back to 1943 with the founding of Walter Eichenberger Theatre Lighting, and the creation in 1999 of MBelectronics by Marco Menzi, later to become Menzi Eventtechnik.
The merger of these two companies in 2010 saw the advent of menzi ebz ag under the management of Marco Menzi and Andreas Stahl. Since 2024, menzi ebz ag has made the strategic step to focus exclusively on the sale of lighting, lighting control systems and rigging across the theatre, television event technology service provider and scenic architecture markets.
“This reorientation is a big step for the company and a good time to modernise,” says Marco Menzi. “When the opportunity arose to become MDG distributor it was a perfect time for us to apply for this great brand.

menzi ebz will be distributing the entire MDG range exclusively in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and already have plans in place for broadening the market. “MDG, like us, specialises in the entertainment market. Nevertheless, we will study all products closely and also look for opportunities to sell the products outside our market,” says Menzi. “We also organise a major customer event every year which, this year, will take place on 2 September at the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne.
