Shure Nexadyne, the new generation of dynamic vocal microphones

With almost a century of excellence in audio engineering now under its belt, Shure introduces the brand new Nexadyne™ range of dynamic vocal mics.

Incorporating the latest technological advances, Nexadyne takes everything that has always made Shure dynamic stage microphones so successful to a whole new level, and marks the beginning of a new generation of transducers.

Available in both cardioid and supercardioid versions, Nexadyne features an exclusive dual-transducer technology called Revonic™. This significantly extends the capabilities of dynamic microphones, reaffirming Shure’s position as a leader and innovator in this field.

Highly detailed vocals, reduced ambient noise, consistent directional characteristics and uncompromising reliability are the hallmarks of this technological innovation designed for professional live performance, following in the footsteps of the SM58 and KSM8.

At the heart of the Nexadyne, the new patented Revonic technology uses two perfectly matched transducers that work in synergy, a manufacturing feat that is essential to ensuring optimum performance.
It cancels out mechanical vibrations, rejects unwanted stage and handling noise as much as possible, produces an extremely accurate frequency response for a dynamic transducer, and maintains frequency linearity throughout the directional pattern. Its capabilities will undoubtedly appeal to technicians and artists who are looking for an easy way to achieve better sound on stage.

Shure’s Revonic technology represents a significant advance in the live performance industry. Within the microphone, the acoustic signal path provides a higher output level than single transducer designs and eliminates the need for traditional shock-mounting. Its controlled frequency response also reduces the need for corrective equalisation.

“The higher the frequency, the greater the directivity of the microphone, and this applies to all all directional mics. On stage, this can lead to clashes, particularly when there are speakers on the floor near the performers. This is why it’s important to have microphones with a very controlled directivity, and above all one that is as constant as possible over the whole frequency range, from low to high frequencies.

Thomas Delory, Market Development Manager, Shure France.

“This is what Nexadyne does, and it marks the start of a new era with a new technology that our engineers have succeeded in developing, taking on a very complex challenge thanks to Shure’s expertise in acoustic engineering,” explains Thomas Delory, Market Development Manager for Shure France.

The Nexadyne microphone is available in cardioid (Nexadyne 8/C) and supercardioid (Nexadyne 8/S) versions, as well as in capsules compatible with Shure wireless systems in black or silver finish (RPW202 and RPW204).
Durable, and rugged, Nexadyne is the latest addition to the range of dynamic microphones available to sound engineers. In step with modern requirements and tone, the Shure Nexadyne vocal microphone offers a more prominent low-frequency response and warm high frequencies.

Performers benefit from greater clarity, more natural timbre reproduction and better control of every vocal nuance, so they no longer have to hold back or push their voice, and the whole audience will hear a performance that is acoustically respectful of their performance and in tune with their experience. For sound engineers, Nexadyne delivers a cleaner signal, enabling them to accurately reproduce and balance artists’ voices in the mix, allowing for a significant reduction in audio processing.

Supplied in recycled and recyclable packaging, Nexadyne dynamic vocal microphones are available now for a recommended retail price of €379.

Starting this summer, Nexadyne capsules will also be available in bundles with Shure digital wireless systems, including Axient Digital, ULX-D, QLX-D and SLX-D.
