German manufacturer Hazebase, a specialist in haze and smoke machines, introduces two new, thoughtfully designed generators fully integrated into flight cases.
The first model presented is the new version of “The Fab,” now renamed “The Fab2.” This classic fog machine (heating a water-based fluid) is housed in a 19” flight case and packed with features designed to enhance user experience, starting with its interface.

Fab2

The Fab², shown here with its access hatch to the heating element open. On the right side of the unit, the smoke outlet is fitted with its motorized deflector.

The interface is fully digital, featuring a sleek, intuitive LCD touchscreen for easy access to all functions. Technicians can quickly configure the device for DMX (+RDM), Artnet, or sACN protocols yes, even fog machines are going networked! Manual operation is also available, allowing users to adjust the motorized deflector angle (to direct airflow), reset the remaining fluid counter, or check battery charge, which is especially useful for off-grid setup.
The Fab2 is equipped with a 500W spiral heating element that reaches operating temperature in just 5 seconds, ensuring immediate availability. Recognizing that the heating element is the most sensitive component, Hazebase included a front access panel for easy replacement completed in under 5 minutes!
In terms of output, this generator is ideal for small to medium spaces, with adjustable fans capable of moving up to 100m³/h. Users have access to 3 DMX channels to control fog output, deflector angle, and fan speed.

Bazer

The Bazer, another Hazebase novelty.

Hazebase also introduces “Bazer,” another flight case-integrated unit that shares many features with The Fab2 but in a simplified version.

Differences include a non-touch OLED display with 4 buttons, a more cubic flight case design, and a fixed combined air+fog outlet replacing the motorized deflector.

The inner side of the removable section of the flight case, which is equipped with a mount holding a spare heating element, supplied as standard when purchasing the machine. Technicians will appreciate it!

Bazer boasts a larger 2-liter tank (compared to 1 liter for The Fab2) and promises higher output at 250m³/h.
A standout feature is the internal storage compartment in the flight case lid, which includes a spare heating element as standard!
