The German brand presents an ultra-compact portable spotlight, shining with versatility and ingenuity, and winner of an SLU Innovation Award.
The QuikBeam is introduced to us by Sébastian Blücke, Sales and Marketing Director at Astera.
.
The QuikBeam joins Astera’s “Quikfamily”! This small fixed LED spotlight, designed to deliver a beam/wash effect, is announced as ideal for all types of short-throw applications: live events, corporate events, film shoots, scenic integration, architectural lighting, and TV studios, both indoors and outdoors.

Like its big brother, the QuikSpot, which we previously introduced, it features numerous functions, some brand-new, along with clever design details and accessories that make handling and operation easier.
First, its size-to-power ratio. Measuring barely 13 cm and weighing under 1.5 kg, this small unit is capable of producing nearly 1,300 lumens, thanks to its 20W Titan RGB + Mint + Amber LED engine hidden behind a small Fresnel-type lens.
True to the brand, the fixture boasts an excellent CRI rating of 96. Paired with this light source, the manually adjustable zoom can be set in seconds, varying the beam angle from approximately 60° down to 12°. In just a quarter of a second, it generates a beautiful tight beam with a pronounced hot spot, sure to impress in a hazy atmosphere!
The fixture body is also graduated, allowing the zoom value to be read at a glance and quickly replicated across multiple units.

A new feature for the range: the unit includes an Ethernet port combining control protocol Art-Net/sACN and power via PoE, along with an Ethercon connector, eliminating the need for DMX and Powercon/True1 connectors. Here, data and power travel through the same cable, with runs of up to 100 meters.
The QuikBeam houses a battery that can be removed in seconds and recharges when the fixture is connected via PoE, or via an external charging base. This cleverly designed battery can recharge in under two hours and is also equipped with a USB Type-C port no more stress in case of a drained battery. Simply use your smartphone charger!
The product can also operate without a battery; just replace the battery cover to maintain full IP sealing. Naturally, Bluetooth and CRMX are included, maximizing control and configuration possibilities.

Like its big brother the QuikSpot, this small beam fixture is compatible with multiple accessories, starting with a bracket that also serves as a mounting yoke, removable in no time.
Optional barndoors are available, along with several filters (soft frost and a 17×46° elliptical filter to “banana-shape” the beam), a battery charging station, decorative covers to conceal the fixture, and several transport solutions.
Among these are classic flight cases, a carrying case for four units, or a backpack designed for two QuikBeams and their accessories.
This IP65-rated product, which inspires confidence with its robust and well-thought-out design, wins an SLU Innovation Award for its clever rapid-handling solutions and its multiple control options, all integrated into a fixture under 15 cm in size that will undoubtedly delight its users.
The QuikBeam is offered at a public price of €500 excl. VAT.
