L-Acoustics K2 performs superbly at inaugural European Games
Organised by the European Olympic Committee, the first ever European Games was held in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku this June. The event’s spectacular opening and closing ceremonies captured the rich culture of the host county, with additional performances from international acts such as Clean Bandit and John Newman, whose set rounded off the closing ceremony. An L-Acoustics K2 system was chosen as the PA for both events.
Kenny Chesney’s Big Revival with Nexo STM
Production audio - as well as lighting - is provided by Nashville-based Morris Light and Sound. Working with Chesney’s front-of-house engineer Chris Rabold, they have pioneered the use of NEXO’s STM Series modular line array to deliver in such large venues.

Harman moves its Martin lighting production to Hungary
Harman International announces its intent to relocate its Martin Professional lighting production facility currently in Frederikshavn, Denmark to Hungary. Lighting headquarter remains in Aarhus and Martin’s smoke machine factory in the UK would not be affected by the relocation.
The LD Systems MAUI 5

Studiotec Integrates VC-Strip Martin at the Hartwall Arena ice rink
Finland’s Hartwall Arena features an innovative LED video system integrated with its ice hockey rink. equipment designer, manufacturer and supplier, ICEPRO OY, created a concept to integrate lighting within the stanchions supporting the rink’s glass safety dividers and worked with the A/V Integration firm, Studiotec, to develop a lighting design that included more than 940 of Martin Professional VC-Strip LED video fixtures.
Aura Audio’s Powersoft M-Force Makes Devastating Impact

Paul McCartney delighted more than 45,000 fans during his recent concert in Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. Sound Solution, Adamson’s distributor in South Korea, and Tristar, sound system provider, coordinated the Adamson sound reinforcement system for the concert utilizing gear and manpower from network partners in the region.
Grateful Dead Landmark event features Robe BMFLs
Lighting was designed and directed by the band’s long term LD Candace Brightman, who started with them in 1972. Paul Hoffman of Pulse Lighting LLC provided programming, equipment selection and moral support. The pair have collaborated on the Grateful Dead since 2004. Central to the large lighting rig were 50 x Robe BMFL Spots and 32 x Pointes.

36 Ayrton DreamPanel Shifts programmed by All Access Design
Last April, at Prolight+Sound, Ayrton presented their motorized video panel, DreamPanel Shift, and its counterpart, DreamPanel Twin, a moving-head, dual-faced video/light panel. The group of gifted young French video and light designers, All Access Design, was contacted by Ayrton and responded to the manufacturer's request for a show program that highlights both the technical and artistic aspects of the panels.
Novelty Group invests in SGM LED product series
Novelty is equipped with 48 x P-5 wash lights, 6 x G-Spots and 12 x Q-7 RGBW color LED flood blind strobes.The very first trial between Novelty and SGM was with the G-Spot. They carried out a so-called crash test, using the G-spot on the ice rink of Paris City Hall during three cold winter months.
